thematically it was hard not to reflect the situation humanity found itself in politically, socially and existentially during 2020 and various books read that year such as Robert Macfarlane's 'Underland' added a topical sheen to the songwriting. in the book he describes how 'annihilation products' are the only visible aspect of experiments where dark matter is discovered as it collides with electrons in chambers deep beneath the earth. i was enthused by the notion of ideas colliding and this album being the tangible aspect of that. also, annihilation products formed by ideas colliding in the world at large today are all too prevalent... if that seems a tad doom laden fear not - there is a song featuring weasels.

the result of this particular experiment is an eclectic and psychedelic project which attempts to contain our current collective psyche in a pastoral, motorik art pop cocoon - maybe something positive shall emerge...
